Cryptocurrency is reaching heights day by day. There are 8000- 10,000 types of cryptocurrencies present all over the world. But, if you are thinking to buy a cryptocurrency you should search for the best and affordable one. Here I have listed a few of the best and trending cryptocurrencies:-

1. Bitcoin (BTC)

Bitcoin refers to both the currency and the protocol and the red P2P on which it relies. Bitcoin is not controlled by any government, institution, or financial entity, either state or private, such as the euro, controlled by the Central Bank or the Dollar by the Federal Reserve of the United States.

The value of Bitcoin is based on supply and demand and is calculated using an algorithm that measures the number of transactions and transactions with Bitcoin in real-time. Currently, the price of Bitcoin in India is 26,43,022.13 rupees, although this value is not much less stable and Bitcoin is classified as the most unstable currency in the foreign exchange market.

2. Litecoin (LTC)

It has a market capitalization of $10.1 billion and a per token value of $153.8, making it the 6th largest cryptocurrency in the world. It was launched in 2011 by Charlie Lee an MIT graduate and former Google engineer. Litecoin is based on an open-source global payment network that is not controlled by any central authority and uses “scrypt” as proof of work.

3. Ethereum (ETH)

Ethereum is the community-run technology powering the cryptocurrency, ether (ETH), and thousands of decentralized applications. It is a technology that is home to digital money, global payments, and the internet. The price of 1 Ether is 2.580$. The interesting part is that you can buy as little as 0.00000000000000000.1, there is no need to buy one whole ETH.

4. Neo

NEO is often referred to as the “Chinese Ethereum” as it was found by a Chinese man Da Hongfei. It was first recognized as AntShares in 2017. It is said to be the first biggest Chinese cryptocurrency. NEO’s current market cap stands at $3.75 billion USD. It has about 111.400% of growth rate. Isn’t that interesting? NEO has performed extremely well.

5. Dogecoin

It is a cryptocurrency created by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer. He story behind this creation is actually sarcastic. Markus and Palmer decided to create a payment system as a joke, making fun of the wild speculation in cryptocurrencies at the time. But, despite its satirical nature, some consider it a legitimate investment prospect.

Dogecoin features the face of the “Shiba Inu” dog from the “Doge” meme as its logo and namesake. Trading physical, tangible items in exchange for DOGE takes place on online communities such as Reddit and Twitter, where users frequently share currency-related information. Currently it has reached a market capitalization of US$85,314,347,523.

6. Auroracoin

It is a currency that is not dependent on the present banking system and has its own independent value. Unlike conventional currencies, central banks cannot create Auroracoin as it suits them. Auroracoin has a fixed supply which supports the value of the currency and works against inflation. Users are able to generate AUR through the process of mining.

7. Auroracoin

It is a cryptocurrency originally forked from Bitcoin software. A fork is simply a change in a blockchain’s protocol. It is based on the code of Bitcoin with additional functionality built on top of it. It was developed as the basis for a decentralized domain name system (DNS). DNS translates human-readable domain names (for example, www.investopedia.com) to machine-readable IP addresses (for example, 000.0.0.00). Today, Namecoin trades around $0.40, and its all-time high price was $9.88. Namecoin’s developers indicate a number of potential uses and applications for this experimental cryptocurrency. First and foremost, the developers hope to protect free speech rights online by making the web more resistant to censorship.
